15 years ago I was a smoker and a regular drinker. I was desperately out of shape, I rarely exercised and simply stopped looking after myself.
When our eldest child was born, I knew I had to make changes to be there for my little one. I quit smoking, drank maybe once a month and took up running.
I went on to complete 3 marathons, about 15 half marathons and numerous 10k runs.
On 7th October 2013 I was involved in a pretty serious car accident, as you can see from the photo the car was a write off, and I was very lucky to walk away from the wreck.
It made me realise how lucky I am to be here and gave me a new found motivation to help myself and others.
I needed to have physio on a shoulder injury, NHS treatments didn't work so I decided to hit the gym and enlist the skills of a personal trainer to bring my mobility back.
Now grateful so to say I am in the gym 3-5 days a week, I eat properly and look after myself.
Don't get me wrong, I still have treats, and off days, yet I try to remain consistent with what I do.
Now I want to be able to help others in achieving their goals to be fit and feel good both inside and out.
If I can do it, so can you.
